Margareten is a creative district – and this year especially so. Because the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK and its projects happening here in countless corners show how social aspects and local knowledge can be integrated in creative processes. The tour makes its way through the district and provides an inside view of projects in the Stadtarbeit and Passionswege formats. The project presented by students of the NDU St. Pölten in partnership with Caritas Vienna directs an extra focus onto participatory product design. These new paths through Margareten give priority to letting participants discover things together: They experience Work in progress live, get to know projects with and for one another, and discover design that brings people together. A tour for everyone – the Viennese, visitors to Vienna, and the “new Viennese”.
