The scene in the Romanian Cultural Institute Vienna revolved in 2016 around
multi- and interdisciplinary projects: To celebrate the centennial of Dadaism, design in the group exhibition RE-RE was in a state of flux, borderlines were blurred, and the much-quoted receptacles began to communicate. The project presented the works of a dozen contemporary Romanian designers and artists. On show: hybrid and experimental art objects which – not at all contradictory
– revealed the potentials of re-contextualization.
Objects which hovered on the blurred border between the fields of activity, and brought experiment, new technologies, and utopian design into play. VDW ♥ RKI.
