Tu felix Austria. Under one roof – the dome of the raw and beautiful exhibition hall – the Austrian Federal Chancellery gathered together the award-winning design concepts, projects, and product ideas of the outstanding artist award 2016, which were presented in the category of experimental design beforehand as part of the festival opening. For the second time, the VIENNA DESIGN OFFICE was in charge of management and organization. Perfected concepts were juxtaposed here to tangibly realized designs – this applied as well to the winning project for the main award “The Golden Age of Nothing”, a multinational
dystopia in image and text, which views the current happenings in Europe from
various angles and imagines its final falling apart. The acknowledgement awards
went to the guest-room design by heri&salli, the food sharing platform "fleischTEILE” by honey & bunny and Alexander Diem, and the space station installation “BE HOLDING EARTH” by Tobias Kestel. Gratulamus!
