Simply magical what was created out of a sober and sterile room during the
festival. For several days, the workplace of the young tile manufacturer Karak was transformed into an ornamental laboratory. Starting out from the geometric grid on the walls, the public set off on a quest for new forms – using Japanese raku firing method, the white areas were overlaid layer by layer with handdrawn
tile motifs. A diverting ornamental playground, its beauty evolving out the
unpredictability of the process. An ode to the tile!
