Theatrically presented behind arm-thick velvet cords, the porcelain manufactory of FÜRSTENBERG and the EOOS design studio placed their elegant black and white porcelain series in the limelight. The extraordinary installation inspired by natural phenomena like rivers of lava and accumulating sediment strata put on show a poetic analyzes of table culture. “The place where the matte, fluted
exterior surface and the smooth interior surface of the double-walled beakers and bowls meet our lips – this is where the physical experience of the objects is potentially most direct.” And it is here that EOOS designer Martin Bergmann also recognizes the essence and the precision of skills. Beakers, bowls, and plates in breathtaking precision, reflected perfectly in a fitting presentation.
