KINETOMANICS

Movement formed the basis for the fascinating installations of the Department of
Three-Dimensional Design. A synthesis of mechanics, electronic, and software, the kinetic works sounded out the space between architecture, design, and art – and thus transformed the room of TTTech Computertechnik into a veritable laboratory of bionic and automated design processes. The results were spellbinding – whether the technical interpretation of a vegetal organism, or the
constantly spinning, fine 3D printing tangle, and the light and color play choreographed by the milling machine software. And as exhibition highlight the “Topokopierer” scanned and reproduced three-dimensional objects as sandcast relief.
