Zoom-in. Zoom-out. Bloomingly beautiful designs in minimally meticulous work
were shown in the Passionswege cooperation between David Tavcar and the petitpoint manufactory founded in 1932 by Maria Stransky. The Slovenian-born designer took his inspiration from the analogue production processes of the manufactory and presented his works in schematically suggested vases and under the magnifying glass. In microscopic bespoke work lasting months and using up to 2,500 stitches per square inch, the embroiderers transposed the petals of roses, violets, water lilies, and edelweiss into contemporary embroidery motifs, bringing out their striking cell structure. A (really) small paradise garden!
