BACK TO THE FUTURE: TEN YEARS OF PASSIONSWEGE VIENNA DESIGN WEEK

What happens when you make the rich wealth of knowledge inhabiting Viennese handicrafts accessible to highly promising national and international designers? Certainly, a great deal to discover. Even today. For the tenth anniversary of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK an evaluation study was commissioned and implemented by the festival (co-financed by Vienna Chamber of Commerce and the Vienna Business Agency), which will now be made public during the festival. Directly following, former and current participants talk about their experiences within the pioneering festival format of the Passionswege. What has happened until now? How promising is the model for the future in times when local production is becoming more and more important? And what do the Passionswege contribute to an awareness of this?
