As part of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK the Wien Museum devoted a brilliantly successful exhibition to examples of young Viennese illustration. The works of aspiring exponents compiled here testified not only to a great stylistic range but also to the multifaceted usage options of this form of applied art. Magazines, children’s book illustration, advertising, packaging design – the show by Studio VIE presented various part-disciplines in a visually impressive and integrated scenario. A rendezvous for the graphic and illustration scene in Vienna, scheduled in time for the directors’ changeover. Farewell and thank you Wolfgang Kos, and welcome Matti Bunzl!
