The open shoe manufactory of NEU Wien proved to be practice-oriented in every respect. Here, in the smart studio of shoemaker mastercraftswoman Nicole Üblacker not far from Karmelitermarkt, visitors to the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK could witness how contemporary leather sneakers are made using traditional techniques. The personally stage-directed opening evening and non-stop presentation of sustainable shoe collections were as informative as they were inspirational. It encouraged others similarly to take the initiative.
