Taking a comprehensive selection of exhibits from French handicrafts, SUPER DESIGN – THE GLASS STORY CONTINUES/ MEISENTHAL FRANCE illustrates how traditional industries have reinvented them- selves in interaction with contemporary design. Designers are introducing added competences into the craft industries and opening a future-oriented perspective onto the opportunities offered by traditional know­ ledge. This has resulted in the use of new materials, new production process and forms, as well as previously unknown areas of usage.
