The show presented by the design team mischer’traxler in the Garage of the Kunst Haus Wien cast an aesthetic light on a precarious theme. By means of an extraordinarily beautiful light object, the duo opened up a public discourse on the loss of biodiversity in general and the extinction of a threatened species of moth in particular. The installation realLimited palpably visualized abstract statistics on the total surviving numbers of the species, thus giving the moth the attention it has long deserved – and the Kunst Haus Wien a ravishingly beautiful event in the fascinating atmosphere of its Garage.
