Meșteshukar ButiQ set up a pop-up store and offered the opportunity for on-site purchase of traditional, handcrafted utility objects – from wooden spoon and copper containers to clothing. In this endeavor to revive centuries-old Roma traditions and make them available to a broad-based public, craftspeople created everyday products and small furnishings in cooperation with the designers Nadja Zerunian and Peter Weisz. The project thrilled the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK public, as it had the festival team in discovering it at the Romanian Design Week in Bucharest.
