In deliberately overstepping rigid boundaries between the disciplines, every year the Passionswege format creates new scope for ideas and opportunities for innovative applications and design. In the WIENER ESSIG BRAUEREI Gegenbauer, the French-born Marlène Huissoud met a partner that like herself endeavors to discover new materials and material remnants and transfer them to further cycles. In doing so, the designer in particular came across pellets formed during the production of oils and its process of pressing pips and stones. In elaborate handicraft she made small table objects out of strands and sunflower seeds that fused seamlessly into the showroom of the historic vinegar factory in Favoriten with its multifaceted world of aromas and materials. In a designer gallery they would on the other hand tell quite different stories.
