Social Design – Public Action. International Symposium

Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien

27.9.2013, 9.30am–7pm

Initiated by the new Master’s course “Social Design: Arts as Urban Innovation” at the University of Applied Arts, the interdisciplinary symposium addresses issues of socially relevant design as an element of communal and transcultural exchange in the urban environment. Within this context, Social Design – Public Action attempts to anchor the issues cast up here in a critical discourse touching on the whole of society. The symposium combines formulations from the theoretical sciences with practical approaches to spatial and cultural co-production.

Attention!!! The first part of the symposium will take place on Sept. 26th at 9:30 am.
