"Restlessen" (eng."Leftovers")

Fit to eat! Come on over and bring your leftovers from the fridge - together with the kitchen project „Mobile Gastfreundschaft“ (eng. "Mobile hospitality" by chmara.rosinke - we will cook and create everything possible.

The "Restlessen" is part of the campaign NO WASTE, that had been developed by Danklhampel for the exhibition "Tools for the Design Revolution." A collective cooking with leftovers from the fridge together with a group friends is one of many ways to counteract the excessive waste.

The exhibition shows freely accessible tools for the design revolution that are leading to sustainable design solutions and generating social, ecological and ethical sustainability. Which debate on values lies behind the concept of sustainability, what is its historical development? Which design strategies have been developed, how can these be put into practice in the design process? How do social, political and economic contexts interact in order to attain a transformation in the production and consumption of products? The exhibition invites the public to a critical confrontation with the theme of sustainability and presents a challenge as well to our own consumer society and culture.
