Charlotte Talbot (FR) at the Wiener Silber Manufactur

28.9.–6.10.2012

The form repertoire of the Wiener Silber Manufactur encompasses epochs – from courtly and ceremonial splendour to the new dawn embodied in the forms of the modern age. Trademark of the enterprise is not only the four-leaf clover but a very high fine-silver content, endowing the silverware with permanent brilliance. Joining forces with the manufactory is the young industrial designer Charlotte Talbot, who trained inter alia at the University of Art and Design in Lausanne, and is at present working in Konstantin Grcic’s studio. Playing a central role in her work is the interplay of materials in combination with experimentation within the form repertoire, and we can expect she will fashion “table silver” into a contemporary phenomenon as the most natural thing in the world.
