WOKA produces luminaires and lamp models from the period of art
nouveau and the Wiener Werkstätte, also design of the nineteenth
and twentieth centuries. In all these lines it prides itself on its unique craftsmanship. At WOKA they know all about the cultural history of the lamp. And of course the refinement of brass, which was always highly valued as a metal alloy in making lamps, alone for its similarity to gold.
The two Italian designers LucidiPevere are also fans of brass. Therefore they have decided not to make a brass object for their project at WOKA, but to stage in a display of their own design a kind
of study in honour of the goldenyellow material and its potential. They explore material and colour combinations, celebrate the diversity of surface techniques, and not least honour the skills of the craftspeople at WOKA.
