The city today appears to have been completely planned, with greening having been reduced to measures affecting the composition of the layout. In a joint effort with institutions in the vicinity and volunteers, we will carry out green interventions on and around Volkertplatz.

Through the cultivation of useful plants, a new consciousness for food in an urban environment is intended to be created and urban farming tried out. A central aspect of our work here will involve examining the Volkertmarkt. We will be asking what the strengths of a market are in today’s world and whether new solutions are conceivable that would convert the market from being reliant on imported foodstuffs into a concept of direct production, thus transforming the market into a unique selling proposition.
