With ‘Vienet’, Copa has turned an eye towards an important segment in the history of Viennese furniture and presents some new and refined suggestions for the familiar ‘Wiener Geflecht’ [Viennese woven cane]. In earlier decades, the use of this eight-sided honeycomb woven cane made possible designs for furniture that was optically light and mobile. With the choice of unusual materials and colours, Copa has woven the ‘Wiener Geflecht’ in a new way and has given it a modern look.
