e_recharge

During the Vienna Technical University 2010 summer semester, twelve students from the module for object and product design worked on the project e_recharge – the possibilities of electrically charging small vehicles and objects in the public, semi-public, and private space. Nine
projects emerged, to be used by such consumers as city bikers, commuters, excursionists, and students. The plans considered
suitable set-up areas for devices needing longer charging times and included possible operator concepts, also communal and private providers, and already available street furniture, kiosks, or restaurants. Most important, such clean energy gives the more challenged members of the community a share in a modern and efficient mobility.
