Can Staud´s jam be crowned? How do tidbits rise up into the star role? Where do gherkins find a proper foothold? In their work for Staud's the designers Kathrina Dankl, Lisa Elena Hampel and Julia Landsiedl are concerned with the appearance of non-returnable jars around the dining table. Miniatures are produced in an intuitive and playful way from finds such as household articles, kitchen utensils and toys – exactly right for stewed apricots, plum jam and pickles.

Each of the jar-lid combinations tells its own little story. As a series the jars from this humorous study in form and colour make up a light-hearted experiment. The five favourite models will be crowned as prototypes and further developed.
