At the Wittmann showrooms the German designer Susanne Philippson is showing a "daytime divan bed with museum character" which she developed with the upholstery handcraft specialists. In the process she takes up the Wittmann slogan "When handcraft becomes art" and extends its meaning beyond "craftsmanship". Unorthodox design elements and a sound installation which takes the handwork context into the showroom will once again extend the definition of a "real Wittmann".
