This year designfunktion is taking part in Vienna Design Week for the first time and for the occasion is bringing its "Limited Editions" collection of great design objects out of the archives. As part of a fascinating presentation of the young industrial designer Robert Rüf the unsellable collection will be on show to the public from 2 to 12 October in the designfunktion showrooms.

The exhibition shows the importance and influence of models created between 1930 and 1970 which ultimately paved the way for the future of design and which display timeless significance. Wonderful stories, visions, rational and irrational ideas, experiments with new materials as well as uncountable designs and prototypes which are closely connected with technical and industrial development preceded the design and shaping of the models on show.

The integrity and the mastery of the designer personalities who substantially defined the aesthetic norms of modern design become perceptible. designfunktion invites visitors to experience great works of furniture design in unusual form and staging and find out more about their creation and background.
