Karim Rashid: Future Design Thinking

Karim Rashid is one of the leading personalities in product, furniture and interior design and known for communicating exceptional design to a broad public. He creates a highly emotional design world with the help of his widely varied, intense style whose references range from the 60s, to Op Art to digital, computer generated forms of the present. Clients such as Umbra, Nambe, Magis, Prada, Samsung, Target, Issey Miyake and Alessi trust his creativity. Among his most famous works are the Morimoto Restaurant in Philadelphia, Hotel Semiramis in Athens and Nooch in New York. In addition to numerous awards for his work he is represented in the permanent collections of 14 museums, including MOMA and SFMOMA. He holds honorary doctorates from Ontario College of Art and Design and Corcoran College in Washington DC.
